On the way back to Colorado Springs, we stopped at Pleasant Valley RV Park in Howard, CO. Our site was right on the river and had a strip of manicured grass next to it, which was super nice! Even though there wasn’t anything to do in Howard, the fact that the campground was so peaceful and beautiful made up for it. I enjoyed sitting in my hammock chair with my bare feet in the grass, reading a book and listening to the river.
We went back to Salida for dinner and groceries one evening and also visited Grace Church on Sunday. Randy and I both enjoyed the service, especially the energy of the pastor. Lots of people made us feel welcome. If you’re ever in Salida over the weekend, we recommend visiting Grace Church!
After church, we went to the Patio Pancake Place. While we were waiting to be seated, I struck up a conversation with a lady and her mom who were local and super friendly. I took their recommendation and ordered the breakfast burrito which was very yummy!
