While the commercial campgrounds are usually more convenient to grocery stores and restaurants, I prefer the extra space and scenery at state parks. So I was glad to be heading to Tims Ford State Park for four nights, after spending a couple of weeks at commercial parks. BUT, instead of enjoying nature as much here, I finally got motivated to do some programming work. So we spent a couple of days just hanging around the RV while I worked. Oh well, such is life. We did go out one day to explore the park and do some hiking, though. And one evening, Randy built a fire to grill steak and roast marshmallows.

We met a new realtor, Stephanie Clement, to show us property in this area. She also had a two door car, so she rode with us to the homes.
401 Bonner Way, Estill Springs, TN 37330– This was a really pretty home, but was not private enough for Randy- 7425 Rowe Gap Rd, Belvidere, TN 37306 – This house was my favorite overall. I like the way the driveway curved through the trees and the amount of cleared land around the house. There were enough trees around the edge of the lot to provide privacy, yet there were nearby neighbors, if needed. I would want to renovate the house eventually, to open up the living area, and update the Master bath and closets, but it’s all doable. Plus the deck needs replacing. But the best part of this property is the views from the back yard! Much of the home’s lot is down a step slope and is not useable, which made it unappealing to Randy, but it allowed for the awesome view, so I was ok with it. I could picture us enjoying it from our new pool, too. Oh well, hopefully we’ll find a place that we BOTH get excited about.
- 844 Ed Sanders Rd, Lynchburg, TN 37352 – This house was pretty nice, too, along with its large yard with rolling hills. The floor plan around the garage was a little strange, but not too bad. It had a nice looking pool area, but it was down a flight of stairs from house. And it close to the road, without much privacy from neighbors. Our realtor went on and on about how popular the Jack Daniels events were in Lynchburg, too, which didn’t really matter to us.
