We stayed at Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort for three nights and spent a day at Cumberland Falls State Park. We did the 2 mile Eagle Falls hike, which was pretty strenuous, with steep inclines and lots of steps, but it was scenic and had rugged terrain, which I liked. After the hike, we did the SUP Rainbow Mist guided tour, where we paddle boarded / kayaked to the bottom of the Cumberland Falls. The paddles we had were versatile, so we could switch the handle for a second paddle and “kayak” by sitting on the paddle board instead of standing. The falls are 125 foot wide and 68 foot high, so it was a cool experience to be so near the bottom of it. Randy worked hard to paddle as close as he could to it, but the force of the water hitting the river made it a challenge to stay there very long. I got close enough to get covered by the mist, but didn’t bother to keep paddling hard.

Turns out, the tour normally paddles to the Eagle Falls area, too, and we would have gotten out of the water and hiked a short distance to Eagle Falls. But since we were the only ones on the tour and had already seen it, we opted to stay on the water instead. It was a beautiful sunny day in the high 70s / low 80s, so another great day to enjoy the outdoors!

Just for the sake of documenting it, we drove to Bowling Green, KY from here and stayed two nights at the KOA. We thought about going to the Corvette Museum, since that’s a popular thing to do there, but neither of us cared to learn about Corvettes, so we didn’t bother. I did laundry and Randy got a haircut and ran a few other errands. None of that was worthy of a pic, so I didn’t bother putting this stop in its own post.
