I really enjoyed doing the Waterford Crystal Factory Tour. I like seeing how things are made. They require at least five years of training to be skilled enough to work in the factory, as each piece has to be EXTREMELY precise. The videos show the various stages each piece goes through. Makes me appreciate the Waterford Crystal bowl that I have a bit more!

I’ve really liked the few Virtual Reality things that I’ve done in the past, so when I saw there was on in Waterford related to their Viking history, called King of Vikings VR, I suggested we do it. If you’re going to sit around learning about Viking history, doing it via VR is a fun way to go, haha. We were too distracted with getting the glasses on and off to take any photos of us actually in the hut. Oh well.

In a nearby gift shop, I got a kick out of the packaging making socks look like food products — so cute!!
It was a rainy day, so we didn’t do a bike ride on the Greenway as I had planned. We also didn’t bother taking the ferry over to the Waterford Castle, since they had a private event and only allowed the public to walk around their grounds. We decided instead to check into Samuel’s Heritage B&B early. It was a nice place to stay, with nice views from their property. They had a few extra amenities, including a laundry service that we took advantage of, so we could have enough clean underwear and socks to finish out our trip.
I hardly ever eat fast food, but no one was too excited about going out to a restaurant on the rainy, chilly night, so Randy & I drove a short ways back to Eddie Rockets, picked up food and took it back to the room to eat. It was nice to take a break and have a lazy evening watching shows on devices.
