Since we no longer had the rental car, Jeremy took a train from Dundalk to Dublin and met us at our hotel. The timing worked out better for Marissa to meet us in Dublin instead of in Pisa, but her flight was about 20 minutes delayed. We just waited at the hotel for her to arrive. When we guessed she was due to get off at the bus stop, Jeremy & I walked over to meet her. We timed it pretty well and only had to wait about 5 minutes to surprise her!
Once we were finally all together, we stored our luggage in the hotel lobby and went to grab some burgers at Bunsen. Then we walked to Dublin Castle for a guided tour.

The timing worked out well for us to leave the castle after the tour, pick up our luggage and head to the airport for our flight to Pisa. In Pisa, we took a taxi from the airport to Hotel Royal Victoria, reportedly the oldest hotel in Pisa. It had TONS of character! Including the teeny tiny little elevator and the arched and painted ceilings. It was also across the street from the river, which made for a cool atmosphere. The kids shared a second room here, where we stayed three nights.
