Randy was in charge of the Venice itinerary and booked a guided tour of the St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace. We walked around the area a bit then found the meeting spot for the tour.

The Di Vinci Musuem was really cool. It showcases a lot of different research and inventions by Di Vinci. We played around with a lot of things with gears and pulleys. Randy was pleased to see how well proportioned his body is!!

Unfortunately, dinner at Trattoria Al Gazzettino took longer than expected; but it was nice that heavy rain stopped while we were eating. Then, we had trouble finding the correct meeting place for a Gondola Ride Randy had booked. Since it was the last booking time for the night, it was closed when we finally got there. But there were other companies still running, so we went with them instead. It was sad to have to spend twice as much (since we couldn’t get a refund for the booked one we missed) but as Randy said, “You can’t come to Venice and not do a Gondola Ride!” Thankfully, the rain mostly held off while we out and we enjoyed the peaceful float through the canal. The last photo is actually our apartment that Jeremy recognized as we floated past. A very enjoyable day. Thanks, Randy!
