We just stayed at Jim & Mary’s RV Park two nights in order to spend some time with the Dunphey’s, some friends from Colorado. After getting the RV set up, we drove the truck another hour to the Dunphey’s beautiful home out in the country. They fixed us an amazing dinner with sous vide steak, veggies and a green salad with lettuce straight from their garden. It was fun catching up with them while we ate then took a walk down their road. We spent the night at their place to save on a couple hours of driving, which was great. They were also very sweet to let us do a couple of loads of laundry while we were there — super hosts!

The next day we drove out to Bitterroot National Forrest and hiked a few miles on the Big Creek Trail. We had nice weather and it wasn’t very crowded at all. After the hike, we went back to the Dunphey’s to pack up before heading back to the RV. At the Dunphey’s recommendation, we stopped at the Good Food Store to go grocery shopping and while we were there, we ate lunch. It’s a lot like Whole Foods, with a large salad bar and other prepared food for an easy lunch. Randy & I both enjoyed the food and the selection of groceries (mostly snacks!) we found there, so a good recommendation!

We spent the second night at the RV so we could wake up and get checked out on time. I thought Jim & Mary’s RV Park was the prettiest we’ve stayed at, with nice sized grassy areas between each site and unique garden areas and mature trees throughout the campground. And the site was long enough to pull the truck into easily, too. The nearby train track wasn’t as nice, but it wasn’t too bad during the night. We had a quick, but enjoyable stay here.
