It was fun to spend a day in Roswell, learning about UFOs and Aliens, especially the alleged UFO crash in 1947. As we drove around town, we saw lots of cute alien signs to get us into the spirit of things. I was disappointed to learn that Dennis Balthaser, the UFO researcher guy who gave Roswell UFO Tours for years, retired last year. So we had to spend a few hours at the International UFO Museum reading about it all, instead of having someone tell us about it. It was definitely interesting and a highlight of the day.
We decided to do the Spacewalk since it was on a list of Things to Do in Roswell, but there wasn’t much to it. Kind of like walking through a non-scary haunted house, with black lights and props to look at as you’re walking. It only took about 5-10 minutes to go through.
I enjoyed Spaceport Roswell more. We put on Virtual Reality glasses and watched a 20 minute show of the Roswell UFO Crash of 1947 play out all around us, mostly from the aliens’ point of view. I really like virtual reality stuff & thought it was well done. My main critique was that the “rooms” are not closed in, so we could hear the welcome video and people talking, which took away from the immersive experience. So, while it could’ve been better, it was still good!
Near the end of the day, I asked Randy if he believed & he still said no. I’m definitely a sceptic, but to see and hear the testimonies of so many military people who say they saw metal that wouldn’t stay crumpled and non-human looking creatures, I definitely think something extraordinary happened. Whether or not it’s some far out military experiment or extra terrestrial activity, hard to say! It was definitely NOT a weather balloon though, that’s for sure! 🙂
