Our week-long stay at 370 Lakeshore RV Park in St. Peters, MO (near Lindenwood University in St. Charles) was all about celebrating Marissa!!! On the evening after we arrived, we met her in St. Louis for a late dinner at Grace Meat + 3 after she got done working at the nearby Fox Theater.
We helped her move most of her stuff to a friends’ basement for storage until she settles somewhere, and the rest went into her car for the next few months. (She is house/pet sitting for a few weeks, until she goes to Baltimore for two months, with a photography job at Johns Hopkins University.) We laughed at how she is going to have to travel the country to gather up her stuff that’s being stored in friends and family’s homes. She may be traveling for quite a while before she settles down, though, so who knows where she’ll end up!
On Saturday morning, we watched her walk across the stage and receive her diploma! Woohoo!! She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a minor in Graphic Design. It was nice that they divided up the students according their college, so the ceremony lasted less than an hour with only the College of Arts and Humanities graduates.
After Marissa congratulated her friends and got pics and hugs, we went to Melting Pot for her celebratory meal. We reminisced about how the last time we ate at a Melting Pot was at her 5th birthday celebration. She was less of a mess this time, but I really wished I’d thought about recreating the pic with chocolate on her face, haha! Oh well, maybe next time!
While we were there, we also went to The Crossings Church with her and ate at Crazy Bowls and Wraps and Bandana’s. On our last full day there, we met for a treat at Fritz’s — yum!
