So, Jeremy is not used to having to worry about getting sunburned in Ireland, haha! He’s borrowing my Aloe Vera and sunscreen now, since there’s lots more days of sunshine forecasted — yay!

We drove another couple of hours to get to Slieve League, where we did a 5km hike with a steep incline. But it was well worth the effort!! Absolutely stunning views at the top (or at least to the top that we went to, since we decide to not hike along the ridge that went slightly higher than where we turned around.) In the vertical photo below, you can see the trail that we walked up, with the parking lot further off to the left of the photo. I think this may have been one of my favorite things we did, since the weather was so nice and the views so amazing. I continued to be impressed with looking back and seeing how far we had climbed.

There was an ice cream truck near the bottom of the hill, so we treated ourselves to a well deserved cones on the way back to the car!

We grabbed a quick lunch at The Marina Cafe about 30 minutes away. Then drove about four hours to Castlehouse B&B in Renvyle. Our room was really small, with just enough room to walk between the beds, so there wasn’t really room for the suitcases. Randy put his under a dresser and I put mine where I’d normally walk. We made it work — at least it was for only one night. The shower here was different, too, with an electric heater/tank in the shower. We had to flip a switch outside of the bathroom to start the heater before getting in the shower. It worked fine as long as you remembered to flip the switch!

After getting checked in, we drove just down the road to the Anglers Rest Bar for dinner. I like the convenience of having breakfast provided by the B&Bs — it’s an easy way to start the day!
