Our luck ran out with good sight-seeing weather at Cliffs of Moher. But by the time we walked to the end of the trail and came back, it had stopped raining enough for better cliff photos. It was still an enjoyable visit, even with the rain. As Marissa has said several times, there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing options. Not sure I totally agree, but the right clothes definitely helps, haha.

We had some time to kill before our scheduled Bunratty Banquet so we visited Limerick’s King John’s Castle.

With the time spent in Limerick, we ended up not making it back to Bunratty Castle in time to do a tour, but since we had banquet tickets, they let us wonder around the grounds until time to line up. Turns out there was plenty to keep us occupied — besides all the plants, there was a main street area with old timey shops and school. We talked to a school teacher, postal/general store worker and a whiskey maker (who gave tastes of whiskey they were selling).

The Bunratty Castle Banquet was definitely a highlight and was very tasty and entertaining. They played a harp and violin while serving Meade in the first room as we waited for everyone to gather. Then they led us to the banquet hall where the singers both entertained and served the food between songs. It was a fun evening.
