We took the fifth wheel out of storage on June 1st and stayed at the Colorado Heights campground for a couple of weeks while we moved out of our apartment and got settled in. We had been making trips to the RV while it was in storage but weren’t able to extend the slide outs. So when we fully extended all four of the slide outs at the campground, we were surprised again by how roomy it felt. 🙂 We sold and donated more stuff from the apartment, put some in storage, then put the rest of our stuff in the RV. There was plenty of room for everything we wanted to bring and even a bit of space left over. We turned in our apartment keys on the 6th, so we are living in the RV full time now.

Unfortunately, the tankless water heater did not survive the winter freeze. We’ve now learned the lesson: The tankless water heater must be blown out separately, instead of just using the normal winterizing process with antifreeze. We got a new one within a few days and a nice mobile RV tech guy put it in for us. We can now take showers in the RV instead of going back to the apartment or using campground facilities!

I love the decal that Marissa designed for us. I hung it above our kitchen area, so you can easily see it when you walk in the door and from our recliners.

Since we had friends who wanted to see our rig, we had an Open “House” the day before we left. Thanks to those of you who stopped by and wished us well!!! It was nice to take a break from all the packing and organizing to sit and visit with friends. And we look forward to reconnecting next month!
