We enjoyed our stay at Chatfield State Park, even though it rained an entire day while we were there. It gave me an opportunity to do some cleaning and programming, since we stayed in the RV all day. Randy was glad to be near enough to Colorado Springs to attend Deputy Peery’s funeral; and we were excited that Rick & Cathy Roberts were able to book a site the same week we were there! It was great to hang out and catch up with them.

We had a couple of beautiful days on the lake, cruisin’ around in the Robert’s boat and paddle boarding. Randy fed a duck some of his lunch, then got a kick out of how it kept following us around. We all took turns tubing, but Randy definitely won the best dismount of the day! Be sure to watch the video to see it.

We went to Seasons 52 for dinner with the Roberts one night, which was amazing! I highly recommend it, if you don’t mind that it’s a bit pricey. Everything we ordered, including an appetizer and desserts, was delicious. Also, since Randy and I are trying to make the most of our Regal Cinema subscription before we cancel it, we went to see Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris at nearby Regal SouthGlenn. It was a nice theater in a cute town center, but the recliners were the most uncomfortable ones I’ve ever sat in. Just saying. (I thought the movie was entertaining, though!)

One of the best things that happened while we were there was Rick and Cathy’s second grand baby was born at a nearby hospital! Congrats to Joel and Sammie on their new baby girl!!
