After getting suggestions from the Visitor Center, we rode the Gondola up and over to Mountain Village. We walked around there for a while, then got off the Gondola at the peak and found a spot with awesome views to sit and eat our picnic lunch before heading back to the truck in town.
We drove to the Bridal Veil Falls trailhead and hiked up to the base of the falls. Even though the 1.25 mile trail was relatively short, the 1300 foot elevation gain and rough terrain made it challenging (but still mostly fun). There were a few small waterfalls along the way to keep us motivated to continue climbing. My legs were pretty shaky by the time we got to the turn around point, so I sat and rested while Randy hiked around and explored the falls more. it was super pretty and worth the effort!
After we got back down, we drove back to town then walked around before stopping to eat dinner at the Floradora Saloon.
