Well, today is our last day of sight seeing. We started with breakfast at the Fat Cat, just across the street from the apartment.

Thankfully, the rain mostly held off while we walked up Petrín Hill, with just a minute or two of drizzling. There were some steep inclines and some steps, but with the switchbacks to make it easier, it was nice hike. And the views at the top were great! We decide not to bother going up in the Lookout Tower, since none of wanted to walk the extra steps, haha.

From the hill, we continued our hike over to Prague Castle (St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane). We got here in time to watch the noon Changing of the Guards, as seen in the videos below. Then while waiting for our guided tour meet-up, the sky broke loose with heavy winds and rain. We took “shelter” beside a wall that prevented the wind from blowing the rain under our umbrellas and waited it out. Thankfully, the heaviest part only lasted a few minutes. By the time we needed to meet the tour guide, it was only drizzling again — yay!

That’s about it! We said good-bye to Kiara, ate dinner at Meet Burger, picked up some cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow morning, then went back to the apartment to pack up. It’s been a fabulous trip, but we’re all ready to go home!
