This was our third day straight with long drives on I-40W. And there was a lot of nothing along the way, except for VERY bumpy roads! It took over 7 hours to get to the Bar S RV Park in Milan, NM, where we stayed for one night. Fortunately, listening to “Project Hail Mary” on Audible passed the time quite well!
Unfortunately, those bumpy roads did a number on the items in our fridge! Evidently, rolling and bouncing a jar of black olives around too much can cause its lid to come loose. 🙁 I noticed a small puddle of something on the floor beneath the fridge and was relieved to discover it was only a spill and nothing was broken. I emptied most of the stuff out of the fridge, cleaned up the mess, and tried to do a better job of securing it all.
There was absolutely nothing special about this place, except for its convenience to I-40. We didn’t even bother to drive around or take any pics. We went to sleep early and look forward to a shorter day of driving and more interesting sites to see on the next leg of the trip!
